Engineer’s Day 2022 is celebration

Engineer's Day 2022 is celebrated in our campus on this auspicious occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Dr. Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, popularly known as the Civil Engineer of India.

On this occasion of Engineer's Day, the work of professionals engaged in various engineering disciplines of the country and their contribution in nation building is appreciated by the faculty members and students of GIET. Our guest on this occasion Professor of Electrical Engineering department of OUTR Dr. Prashant Kumar Satpathy has mesmerized our budding engineers by narrating the story of an engineer and the purpose of engineering for a healthy planet. On this occasion Dr. Sarat Chandra Sahoo, Ex-Director, IMD & the Director of Environmental Science & Climate, SOA University, focused on how Engineering can be professionally applied for the optimum conversion of natural resources into the benefits of the society. A poster competition on the theme of IoT for the benefits of mankind is organised amongst the students of the college by our Technical Committee in this occasion and the best performers are awarded by our Guests.
