Gandhi Institute For Education And Technology (GIET) located in Khordha, Odisha is the leading technical workshop provider for engineering colleges across INDIA. Our technical workshops for engineering college students are delivered by online and on-site modes. The objective of our technical workshop is to impart knowledge in emerging technologies to engineering students. Students have options to enroll for career programs also and avail placement opportunities. Our workshops are delivered in Embedded, VLSI, Internet of Things, Digital Signal Processing, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Linux & operating systems, Embedded OS porting, microcontrollers and microprocessci97kdgwcors & Programming languages like C, C++, Data Structures, Java, VHDL, Verilog, MATLAB, LABVIEW, Python, Data Science etc.

                             Workshops at GIET are delivered in basic, intermediate & advanced levels. Trainings are provided in Electrical, Electronics, Wireless, Communication, Signal Processing & Computer science engineering disciplines.

                             GIET management also organizes free online workshops for engineering college students, these technical workshops for ECE students from low socio-economic status backgrounds.

                            Central Workshop is full fledged workshop for hands on training to next generation engineers.  All basic & advanced manufacturing facilities are available to enhance the skill of students.  It is well equipped to train the students right from first year. Students are exposed to basic practical knowledge of fitting, carpentry, pattern making, smithy, tin- smithy, welding and various machines in machine shop with rigorous practical work.

                                  Sophisticated machine shop is equipped with 52 laths, all conventional machines such as universal milling, shaping machine, surface grinder, centre less grinder,  turret lathe, automat etc.  Welding shop is equipped with TIG, MIG, Submerged arc welding, Plasma arc welding. CNC turn A-16 Machine is installed to enable students to take training in CNC turning & milling as well as computer aided manufacturing (CAM). Various software’s like master CAM Level II, MTS simulation, software for turning & milling available here add to the competency level required by industry.                        

One day workshop on CMM and CNC was organised and conducted to internal and external participant from various institutions on 31.08.2020 during Techyuga 2020 in

Metrology and measurements laboratory and CAM laboratory. 64 students attended this workshop. The following contents were delivered in the workshop:-

Introduction to Metrology and its measuring instruments

  • Advanced Metrology
  • Types and Working principle of coordinate measuring machine
  • Practical hands on training on Optical sensor and probe sensor
  • Conducted practical sessions on both CMM(Coordinate measuring Machine) and VMM(Video Measuring Machine) with models ( Cylinder, Pyramid, cone, other various features in the objects)
  • Impart skills in writing CNC G- Code and M-Code programming for both CNC turning and CNC milling operations.
  • Conducted practical sessions in CNC milling and CNC turning by machining various profiles in work pieces.

                        A one day Awareness program on SAR Preparation for NBA Accreditation was conducted by RIT on December 02, 2017. Dr.Baskar, Professor& Head/ Department of EEE, Thiagarajar College of Engineering. He delivered importance of NBA in Engineering colleges and procedure to prepare NBA documents.

                       Two-day workshop on Autodesk Fusion 360 was conducted by Mechanical department in association with ICTACT during September 04-05, 2017. The objective of this workshop is to train the students in Fusion software and make them to prepare in India Design Skills challenge competition which will be conducted in December 2017. Mr.A.M.Mohamed Shereef, Senior Trainer, ICT academy, Madurai was the resource person for this program. Final Year students participated in this workshop.                             

                       Two days workshop on Coordinate Measuring Machine was conducted to the Mechanical Engineering students during TechYuga 2017. This workshop is designed to enrich the knowledge of students in the area of latest developments in Coordinate metrology and its applications in dimensional measurements and make the students to understand basic GD & T features and able to do probe calibration. This program is provided with industry based intensive training beyond our syllabus curriculum.
